Amy is the most beautiful soul on the planet. Her ability to see the good in everything is amazing. I first met Amy while working at a restaurant named V's Taproom in Vistancia, AZ.

My name is David Beemster and i am Amy's husband for eternity. although our journey together on this beautiful earth has been short, we have lived together for a lifetime already.

Our journey landed us at Gilbert Mercy Medical Center in Arizona. it was a Thursday the 18th of October. Amy and I were in the ER and after numerous blood panels, CT scans and various other tests were performed finally we were escorted into the "bad news room". At this point we already knew at some non verbal old soul married for eternity level that we were about to get really bad news. WE DID!

Pancreatic Cancer is one of the worst cancers to detect because by the time it is noticeable, it is already there and, in your face, so to speak. on the bright side of impending doom, we were able to catch it earlier than most.

Amy and I are fighters and don't know when to quit. Amy's spirit is what drew me to her when i first met her. Together, we both have beautiful children and love them for eternity. I can't imagine what goes through their thoughts at night before they fall asleep. We can only hope that through our journey that we have raised them up right to see the beauty in things that most people ignore or pass by.

Our prayers are simple these days and lead us to the conclusion that we as human beings and individuals are only shooting stars in the universe. Our souls are seen as a glimpse of individuality in a vast sea of mystery.

Through our time together as a couple. we have experienced life through a lens of gratefulness, adventure and joy. At the end of each day, we thank each other for little things that seem meaningless but in the grand scheme of things, bring us closer together. On the flip side, if we fight about something, we understand that we are individuals and wake up each morning and tell each other "i love you."

Our story is not unlike many others who face the same adversity, the only difference is that I am praying to be able to be by her side for just a little bit longer so that we can do that one more thing before we cannot.

Now you might be asking yourself why we are here asking for help? I can sum it up to a perfect storm of WTF. whether it be I just started a new job with a new company and can't get health benefits for another 90 days or the fact that despite working paycheck to paycheck we still don't qualify for help. Either way, sometimes it is just life that seems to throw you that ultimate middle finger right when you least expect it.

Please, we are humbly asking for your help. even a dollar will make its way toward our goal of getting Amy healthy again, even for a short period of time. I have come to the realization that no matter what, there is greatness in everyone and despite the sometimes-insane world we are living in, goodness conquers all around us.

God Bless You!
